Toxic waste bubbles in a ship waiting permission to dock in Odessa. Frank Martin turns down a job in Marseilles, referring it to a pal. A short time later, the pal, wounded by gunfire, crashes his car into Frank's living room and dies, leaving a young woman in the back seat. The employer of the dead man shows up, forces Frank to take the job, snaps a bracelet on his wrist that will explode if Frank gets more than 75 feet from his car, and sends Frank on a journey east with the young woman and a trunk full of something. She's Valentina, nearly mute. Can Frank figure out what's going on, deliver the package, and escape alive? And what does the ship have to do with it?
Frank Martin puts the driving gloves on to deliver Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of a Ukrainian government official, from Marseilles to Odessa on the Black Sea. En route, he has to contend with thugs who want to intercept Valentina's safe delivery and not let his personal feelings get in the way of his dangerous objective.
Those that didn't like the heroine have to admit that if nothing else, she has made freckles no longer just girlish, but downright sexy. The plot and director did not give her much chance to be more than the "spoiled rich girl", but the potential is there anyway. The action sequences were very good, but too choppy, which indicates lazy choreography (where is John Wo when you need him?). The plot was good, if you suspend belief of some things like - how did the bad guys expect to get away with their crime, even if they were successful. There was more acting from Jason, which came off well and shows he has come a long way from Hansom Rob. All in all a great ride and well worth seeing on the big screen. I will buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out.
Transporter 3 is the third installment of the franchise. Transporter 3 didn&#39;t seem to have that same magic and tone as its prequels, though that isn&#39;t necessarily a bad thing. This one felt very different than Transporter 2. Transporter 3 had less action, more plot but its plot wasn&#39;t that believable and sort of ridiculous. It was still fun and entertaining though. Many critics and reviews made point that the plot didn&#39;t make much sense, and I somewhat agree. Here&#39;s why: The bad guy- Johnson (Robert Knepper), is forcing the Transporter, Frank Martin, to transport a girl named Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) from one country to another. Johnson is present when Martin leaves with the girl. Johnson is also present when Martin delivers the girl. So why exactly did Johnson need the Transporter in the first place? And in this film, Frank&#39;s &quot;package&quot; ends up being Valentina (he doesn&#39;t know what the package is before doing the mission, then suddenly notices, and she doesn&#39;t tell him). One thing I really disliked what Valentino, her character was far too annoying and had too much dialogue with Frank. It took away the suspense from Frank&#39;s character.<br/><br/>This movie is not boring. There are very nice stunts in this, such as a neat bicycle chase with Frank on a bicycle doing all these stunts trying to catch of to the bad guys, a sequence with Frank driving his car on top of a train, and a very exciting scene with him crashing his car underwater yet escaping and bringing his car back on the ocean (it was a very clever way how he got it back). Once again, Jason Statham is a splendid action hero and does a great job in this film. In my opinion, the film wasn&#39;t that bad but not as good as the previous two. It was slightly worse than the second.
The movie has more lags in action than either of the previous episodes, and somehow the dialogue is even more daft
